The dress code for our wedding is Formal or Black tie optional, additionally traditional attire encouraged.
As well as the dress code for our Welcome Party is semi- Formal and traditional attire is highly encouraged.
What does this mean?
This dress code is slightly less formal than a black-tie wedding. So, a tuxedo isn't required, but can still be worn if preferred. If opting for a suit, however, a formal dark suit, white shirt, and a conservative tie are acceptable. For women, the outfit choices remain the same: a floor length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit.

Indian attire is often vibrant, formal, and culturally significant to the pre wedding events along with the wedding day and reception.
For men, traditional options include a sherwani (a long coat-like garment) paired with churidars or trousers, or a kurta-pajama set. In more modern settings, a well-tailored suit or tuxedo may also be appropriate.
For women, the traditional choices are a sari (a long, draped garment) or a lehenga (a skirt and blouse set), both of which are often richly embellished with embroidery or beading. Alternatively, a salwar kameez (a tunic and trousers set) is another elegant option. The colors tend to be bold and bright, reflecting joy and festivity. Accessories such as jewelry, including bangles and earrings, and intricate hairstyles are also commonly worn to complete the look.
While traditional attire is highly encouraged, it is not required for the wedding day. However, it is highly encouraged specifically for the welcome party on Wednesday, May 14th 2025.
